How this is funded

It isn't, yet. No electricity company pays us, no one advertises here, and we earn nothing when you switch. That is worth stating plainly, because almost every other site comparing Texas electricity is paid per enrollment.

What we take money for today

Nothing. There are no affiliate links on this site, no sponsored placements, no advertising, and no arrangement with any retailer or comparison service. Nobody has paid to appear here or to rank higher, and no retailer sees this analysis before it is published.

What we do not do

We do not sell electricity, sign anyone up, or take your account details. We publish the numbers and show our working. Where a plan is the cheapest for you, we say so whether or not we could ever be paid for it.

If that changes

A site like this eventually has to pay for itself, most likely through a commission when a reader switches. If that happens, three things will be true: it will be disclosed at the top of every page, the ranking will still be computed from the documents rather than from who pays, and we will keep publishing a free route to the same outcome so you never have to use a paid link to act on what you read here.

Until then, the honest disclosure is the short one: nobody is paying us.
